Best Sales for Back-to-School Clothes
Back-to-school sales are the perfect excuse to get new clothes for your kids, and there are plenty of big names with ongoing sales. So why not take the chance while you have it? They need new clothes, don’t they?
Here are some of the retailers that still have back-to-school sales for your family.
As per usual, Old Navy has plenty of sales for the upcoming school year, with some particular discounts that could make the perfect deal. Currently, they’re offering select styles of school uniforms available for as low as $4. Even if your kids don’t need uniforms, Old Navy’s back-to-school sale has apparel for boys and girls down to toddlers, with some tees as low as 63% off.
Through Aug. 18, Kohl’s (KSS – Get Report) is doing another huge sale for back-to-school shoppers. Purchases of select styles of back-to-school items (which includes clothes in young men, juniors and kids sizes, as well as select shoes, accessories and character backpacks) that add up to a minimum of $50 are able to get $10 off their purchase. The coupon for this sale can be found on their website, and if you are placing an online order you can use code “BTS10.” If you’re not able to use this code, they still have sales on select clothes from toddler to teen, backpacks, accessories and dorm bedding.
Currently, H&M has a back-to-school deal on all of its kidswear. On purchases of more than $60, you are eligible to get 20% off your purchase, as well as free shipping, by using the code “3141” at checkout. H&M (HNNMY) boasts apparel for kids of all ages and a line of back-to-school styles for sale. This includes sweatshirt/pants combos at $24.99 ($12.99 for H&M members), as well as shirts and dresses as low as $4.99.
Right now, Macy’s (M – Get Report) features a back-to-school sale with select items from some of the biggest name brands available to you at a discount. Brands like Nike (NKE – Get Report) , Levi’s (LEVI) , Steve Madden (SHOO – Get Report) , Guess (GES – Get Report) and Tommy Hilfiger are included. Select items from their back-to-school section will be available for as low as $4 (though they also note that these sales cannot be combined with other discounts and offers, shipping discounts excepted). Apparel (including plus-size) in men’s, women’s and girls sections, as well as accessories can be found at a solid discount, perfect for the fashion conscious family.
Best Sales for Back-to-School Supplies
Need discounted school supplies fast? Some of the biggest retailers in the country have sales going on for just the occasion, some even lasting through the entire summer.
For the entire summer, Office Depot is promising huge sales on some integral school supplies, including a Doorbusters sale with select binders available for just $1 while supplies last. From kindergarten to college, Office Depot (ODP – Get Report) has your basic school supplies for as much as 80% off. These can range from discounts on pricier supplies (select Texas TI-84 calculators for up to $35 off) to convenient sales on less costly but still necessary supplies (manual pencil sharpeners as low as $0.75, 12″ rulers as low as 25 cents).
As a store that is seen as having nearly everything, Target’s back-to-school sale encompasses quite a bit when it comes to “supplies,” extending to clothes and electronics as well. But if what you’re looking for is merely supplies, you can find them all at Target (TGT – Get Report) , on sale. Lunch bags with beloved children’s entertainment properties from Fortnite to Toy Story are available for as low as $5.59, and crayons for young students are on sale for as low as 35 cents. If your child’s school or teacher make a list of necessary supplies, they can submit it to Target and parents can find it and shop for everything online via the School List Assist feature.
Up until Aug. 17, Staples is offering a deal where select school supplies are 20% off when purchased with a backpack that costs more than $19.99. Staples also has a program similar to Target’s where teachers can submit lists of supplies to make shopping easier for parents, but even if you don’t have a list to go buy, basic supplies are available at friendly discounts. Composition notebooks are available for under a dollar – and if you want an all-encompassing trip to the store for supplies, laptops are on sale for as much as $200 off on name brands like Lenovo (LNVGY) .
You can shop for students from pre-k to high school during Walmart’s (WMT – Get Report) sale this year. This includes basic school supplies, apparel, electronics, backpacks and accessories (available in dozens of different characters).
Best Back-to-School Sales for Laptops and Electronics
Need a new laptop for your teenager or college student to make sure they get their work done? Now’s your chance. Some of the biggest tech retailers are offering top notch electronics at a discount just in time for the school year.
iMacs and Macbooks are always going to be expensive, but the Apple (AAPL – Get Report) back-to-school sale means you have the opportunity to get them up to $200 off. Education pricing also gives you the opportunity to save as much as $50 on an iPad, as well as accessories like the Apple Pencil or Smart Keyboard. A qualified purchase of these through the education savings can result in free Beats Solo3 Wireless Headphones, as well as 20% off AppleCare+.
The student deals for Best Buy require a My Best Buy account. If you have one, Best Buy (BBY – Get Report) has weekly deals that, as of this writing, include up to $250 off select Lenovo laptops. This includes laptops from Chromebooks to MacBook Airs, but also discounted headphones, cell phones, televisions and printers.
