The black and gold arrived at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe for training camp on Thursday. There were no helicopters, and no one skydived into camp, but some Steelers did make a statement when they arrived. The fifth-year receiver arrived in a semi truck, carrying a barbell and wearing a hard hat, overalls and boots as he walked into the dorms. Rogers will be looking to make a larger impact in 2019 after signing a new two-year contract in March.The Steelers placed linebacker T.J. Watt on the active/physically unable to perform list to begin training camp due to tightness in his left hamstring after the team’s run test Thursday. “He may be on for a very short period of time. We are evaluating that as we speak,” coach Mike Tomlin said. “Again, he was able to complete the test, he just expressed some tightness there at the end, so we will do what is appropriate from that standpoint.”The Steelers announced a one-year contract extension for Tomlin on Thursday morning. The extension will keep Tomlin, 47, with Pittsburgh through the 2021 season. The deal was announced just hours before the start of training camp. Financial terms were not disclosed. The Steelers’ first practice is Friday, and it’s open to the public.
