Georgetown College welcomes its largest incoming class since 2011, with 350 students moving into the dorms on Thursday. About 320 of those students are freshmen.
“More and more people want Georgetown’s championship-level education of the mind and heart,” said Georgetown College’s newest president, Will Jones. “It’s great to welcome such a large group of new students.”
President Jones entered his term as Georgetown College president this past July. He is looking forward to learning the names and stories of all the incoming students, he said.
“It’s great to be a new Tiger with them,” Jones said.
Orientation weekend is underway after move-in day. Classes for students begin on August 19.
