TISHOMINGO, Okla. — Murray State College saw an enrollment increase in one area when classes began last Monday.
Students in the school’s program for high school juniors nearly doubled this year. The bump is attributed to a tuition waiver which means students only have to worry about paying for books.
“If they take a lot of classes concurrently while they’re still in high school, it’s a big savings for parents when they go off to college,” said Murray State academic affairs vice president Becky Henthorn.
Right now, this program is only offered in the fall semester, but the school is working to get the program in place for spring.
